Overview: Dol Guldur Parkour
Inspired by the imposing ruins of ancient sorcerous strongholds, Dol Guldur Parkour immerses runners in a dark, multi-layered stone fortress in Combat Online 2. The map emphasizes vertical navigation, precision beam hopping, and hazard evasion across towering viaduct arches, volcanic stone battlements, and dark abyssal chasms.
Course Stages & Ruined Citadel Navigation
The trial unfolds across the massive architecture of a shadowy stone citadel. Runners begin along high-altitude bridges and the undersides of grand viaduct arches spanning deep ravines. Negotiating the lower substructure requires leaping across wooden crates, iron chains, and isolated stone rungs anchored directly into the fortress pillars, all suspended over an open water void.
Ascending into the upper fortress levels brings players to broad ramparts and parapet walkways built from weathered dark masonry. Navigating these courtyards requires leaping over magma-lined floor trenches and hopping across rows of suspended stone tiles. The climax transitions onto an imposing elevated causeway lined with low defensive railings, where runners must scale an ascending series of steps cut with glowing lava strips to reach the final monument tower and checkpoint portal.
Movement Tactics & Citadel Tips
- Viaduct Pier Balancing: When navigating the beam networks beneath the main bridge arches, use deliberate forward taps rather than full sprints to stick landings on narrow pillar collars.
- Lava Slat Leaping: On the final ascending staircase, establish a continuous jumping cadence to clear the molten strips without clipping damage hitboxes on step edges.
- Rampart Strafe Centering: Stay aligned with the midline of the upper walkways, keeping your camera steady to prevent accidental slips into the bottomless courtyards below.
