Overview: Ered Luin Parkour
Inspired by legendary mountain keeps of dwarven lore, Ered Luin Parkour takes runners deep inside a monumental subterranean fortress in Combat Online 2. The trial tests high-altitude balance, spatial navigation, and fire-hazard evasion across grand arched colonnades, colossal stone beams, and volcanic chambers.
Course Stages & Mountain Stronghold Traversal
The journey opens on a slotted hazard bridge composed of parallel lava-rock beams suspended over an icy white floor. Runners must select a narrow girder and maintain disciplined forward sprint momentum to reach the fortress thresholds. Beyond this entrance lies a vaulted ceremonial hall flanked by carved stone statues of dwarven axe-guards standing beneath soaring brick archways.
Passing beneath the grand colonnade elevates the course into the fortress's upper superstructure. Players must traverse an intricate network of massive rectangular stone struts and arch supports spanning great vertical heights, requiring careful footing beside rounded defensive bastions. The final gauntlet plunges runners into a deep rock-walled canyon filled with volcanic rubble, where they must weave through a labyrinth of tall magma-textured barricades and jump between isolated stone stepping pads to reach the exit portal.
Movement Tactics & Stronghold Tips
- Beam Entry Cadence: On the parallel opening grates, commit to a single longitudinal girder immediately to avoid catching the empty slots between the beams.
- Archway Navigation: Use the central curved pediments between the dwarven sentinels as natural deceleration spots before launching toward upper level ledges.
- Magma Siphon Slalom: When navigating the concluding lava slab maze, keep camera turns sharp and concise to avoid scraping against damaging hazard walls.
