Overview: Tokyo Station Jr
Recreating the eerie silence of an urban transit hub after hours, Tokyo Station Jr brings realistic metro platforming to Combat Online 2. Set late at night under sub-zero conditions, the course tasks runners with descending into a quiet subway terminal, navigating hazardous underground concourses, and sprinting through train tunnels.
Course Stages & Transit Architecture
The journey opens on a snow-dusted city street corner beside a digital display flashing late-night departure times. Runners enter through a covered concrete stairway labeled for the underground lines, descending straight into the central ticket hall. Once inside, players must leap across modern automated turnstiles and weave past information kiosks to reach the main transit corridors.
Deep within the station complex, standard subway infrastructure gives way to unexpected hazard zones. Runners must scale tall concrete pillars using wall-mounted ladders, hop across isolated stepping pads suspended over indoor magma pits, and bypass a freestanding volcanic portal. Clearing the concourse leads directly to the subterranean train platform marked for Line 3, where players complete a high-speed sprint along the platform edge beside parked green-doored commuter train carriages to reach the terminal checkpoint.
Movement Tactics & Transit Tips
- Turnstile Vaulting: Maintain sprint momentum down the entrance stairs and hop cleanly over the automated fare gates without clipping their side pillars.
- Platform Edge Centering: On the final stretch along the subway train, stay parallel to the yellow tactile platform line to prevent snagging on train door frames.
- Lava Chamber Cadence: Keep jump inputs rhythmic across the stepping stones in the magma hall; pausing between blocks increases the chance of slipping off the edges.
Course Experience
Tokyo Station Jr blends an authentic Japanese metropolitan setting with tense obstacle navigation. Conquering its chilly street-level entrances and subterranean rail platforms requires decisive sprint timing and sharp environmental awareness.
